Introduction to the journey of reverse engineering and binary exploitation

Road to Binary Exploitation and Reverse Engineering

Introduction about me:

Hello my name is hakka and nice to see you featured my blog. If you are reading this then you must have visited my blog.

And also friends I am making this blog in English so that everyone can understand this. Also English is not my main language so if there are any mistakes please understand

why I am creating this blog?

  • I have created this blog to offer you a free course on the reverse engineering and binary exploration.
  • I know that there are a lot of resources available for assembly language, reverse engineering and binary exploration. But I'm making this blog because when I learned all this, I had a lot of questions and it took me a long time to find the answers.
  • So I am starting this blog to prevent this same from happening to anyone.
  • I will make sure to cover all the topic and doubts in a simple language as possible.

Who is this course for?

  • If you are someone who is going to make his/her career in the cyber security, then this is important for you
  • And if you love playing CTF (capture the flag) games, then also this is very important to you
  • Even if you are someone who is not from a computer background, there is no problem as I will be starting this course from scratch.

Requirement for this course:

  • All you need is some knowledge about the C and C ++
  • You don't need to master the c and c++ only the basic concept such as loops, conditional statements and basic datatype etc. are important to us. Because I will be taking advance concept C and C ++ later in this course.

In this blog, I will focusing on three things

  1. Assembly Language
  2. Reverse Engineering
  3. Binary Exploitation

Assembly Language , Reverse Engineering , Binary Exploitation

As you can see in the above image,

                    1) Assembly language is the main prerequisite for the reverse engineering so if you master the assembly language then at least 70% of your work for the reverse engineering is already done.

                    2) Reverse engineering is the prerequisite for the binary exploitation. Once you learn the reverse engineering then binary exploitation is not that difficult. I mean it is difficult and one of the toughest part in this course but most of the tools required for this are going to be mastered by you in the reverse engineering section.

This is not a course in general but a specific way to the binary exploitation also I will upload some tips and tricks, i will also give you some test as we progress so it will be a fun way to learn all this.

If you have any questions feel free to ask me in comment section also in future I will also create a group so that we can communicate with each other till then have fun and keep smiling.

This post is just going to be an introduction and I'm going start the first section which is assembly language from the next post.

So see you guys in the next post Assembly Language
